Forrest Gump

This week I read Forrest Gump.

Forrest Gump who lives in Alabama has defect in his legs and his intellect is low.His mother let him go to normal school.Forrest makes friends with the girl, Jenny but he was bullied in elementary school.One day He witnesses Jenny scolded by her father, so they run away through the field.Next morning jenny was taken in the relative because she was abused by her father.

Forrest was still bullied in high school.When he was chased by classmate driving a car, he entered the field of american football. And because he could run fast he belonged to american football club of Alabama University indeed in every game he gained a good record.

He applied for the army after graduate from school but he was scolded in early part of his induction.
He made friends with Babba who had the dream to be a shrimp fisherman. After training he dispatched troops to Vietnam War.But in there Babba was dead.

While Forrest was healed in the hospital with the lieutenant he happened to meet table tennis.A few years later he became "ping-pong diplomacy", and took part in the  world conference.

One day Jenny appeared in front of Forrest`s house.She presented him the shoes, and he had a little good time.However she left quickly.A few days ago he started to run,because he wanted to only run.
As time went by he was said that the man who hope for peace.

He met Jenny again.Then a young boy came home.His name is Forrest Gump.She said that the boy is Forrest`s son and unfortunately she had an incurable disease.They backed to the house of Forrest in Alabama and got married.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

Today I read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

 Tom Sawyer is ten years old. He lives in aunt Polly and his half-brother,Sid.Tom dirties his clothes and is made to whitewash the fence the next day, as a punishment. He cleverly persuaded his friends to trade his small treasures for the privilege of doing his work.
 Tom falls in love with Becky Thatcher, a new girl in town. And he persuade her to get "engaged" by kissing him.However their romance collapse when she learns Tom has been " engaged" previously, to a girl named Amy Lawrence. Tom accompanies Huckleberry Finn to the graveyard at night, where they witness the murder of Dr. Robinson.
 Tom, Huck, and Joe Harper run away to an island.While enjoying their new-found freedom, the boys become aware that the community is sounding the river.Tom sneaks back home one night so that observe the commotion.after a little moment Tom is struck by the idea of appearing at his own funeral.
 Back in school,Tom gets himself back in Becky`s favor after he nobly accepts the blame for a book she has rippedSoon, Muff Potter's trial begins, in which Tom testifies against Injun Joe. Potter is acquitted, but Injun Joe flees the courtroom through a window. Tom then begins to fear for his life as Injun Joe is at large and can easily find him.
 Summer is coming,Tom and Huck go hunting for buried treasure in a haunted house. Peering through holes in the floor, they see Injun Joe disguised as a deaf-mute Spaniard; Injun Joe and his companion plan to bury some stolen treasure of their own. From their hiding spot, Tom and Huck wriggle with delight at the prospect of digging it up. Huck begins to shadow Injun Joe nightly, watching for an opportunity to nab the gold. 

 As Tom and Becky wander the extensive cave complex for the next few days, Tom one day accidentally encounters Injun Joe, although the boy is not seen by his nemesis. Eventually, he finds a way out, and the two children are joyfully welcomed back by their community. When Tom hears of the sealing several days later and directs a posse to the cave, they find the corpse of Joe just inside the sealed entrance, starved to death.

A week later, having deduced on Injun Joe's presence at McDougal's Cave that the villain must have hidden the stolen gold inside, Tom takes Huck to the cave and they find the box of gold, the proceeds of which are invested for them. The Widow Douglas adopts Huck, and, when Huck attempts to escape civilized life, Tom tricks him into thinking if Huck returns to the widow, he can join Tom's robber band. Reluctantly, Huck agrees and goes back to the Widow Douglas.

Daniel Radcliffe

 this week I read Daniel Radcliffe.

When he was twelve years old he appeared on Harry Potter and the Philosopher`s Stone.  J.K.Rowling`s books are very famous, and Daniel Radcliffe is the face of Harry Potter.
His father works with writers and his mother works with actors.However they want a normal, happy child.So he has a normal life at school.
When he was ten years old he had a first job.It was David Copperfield.He achieved success as an actor.
Actually when Harry Potter and the Philosopher`s Stone was filmed the film makers didn`t want a famous actor.Because they wanted a new face Daniel went for two auditions and he had the job,he was the new Harry Potter!
Rupert Grint is playing Harry Potter`s friend, Ron Weasley.Emma Watson-Harry`s clever friend Hermione Granger in the story.This is Rupert and Emma`s first film.The three children are quickly good friends.
As a new work Daniel Radcliffe starts to make a film in 2006.Another is that he plays the teenager Alan Strang in Peter Schaffer`s Equus in 2007.
Although we don`t know what he become in the future, it is sure that Harry Potter is his starting point.

Billy Elliot

This week I read Billy Elliot.

The hero`s name of this book was Billy Elliot. He was eleven years old.He was born in Darlam.

There was striking of many workers of coal mine. He lived with father who work in a coal mine, older brother and grand mother.His mother died when he was a child. they were in harsh living conditions because father and brother joined the striking.Father make Billy practice boxing but he didn`t like boxing.

One day, when the boxing lessons day fell on the ballet lesson day Billy was interested in ballet and went to lesson room to saw it.Ms Wilkinson whose same school`s girl taught ballet.Since then Billy attended not boxing lesson but ballet lesson.Of course his father scolded him and didn`t allow him to practice ballet.However he continued to practice it secretly.There was the audition of Royal Ballet School in next city so he would took an examination.But because striking happened and his brother was arrested Billy had to give up the examination.He kept the dream  to be ballet dancer.He loved ballet very much.

Finally his father made out his passion and talent to ballet and decided to make support.Then father quit striking and started to work in coal mine. Father brought him to London so that take an exam.

As a result Billy could pass it!

After a few years father and brother came to London all the way so that they saw the stage which Billy appeared.

・My favorite book I read is Toshishunn.This book about young poor man in China.Toshishunn was very poor man so he always wanted to be rich.One day certain man appeared in front of Toshishunn.Then the man make him richiest in the city.Toshishunn was happy but he exhausted all money.Since then Toshishunn asked him to make him his follower.The man said that if you said nothing I would make you my follower.As a result he said something, so he didn`t become his follower.However he grow mentally.


・My favorite scene is that Toshisunn understood the most important thing.The important thing is that if I were poor I can send my happy life.

ROBIN HOOD

This week I read ROBIN HOOD.This is the story of the famous benevolent, Robin Hood. In later part of the twelve century,Robin came home as a knight of the Grusades.On the way he came across the scene that Robert Rocsery assassinate someone. He takes on a job that he deliver the sward to Mr Walter, His father because of his will.Walter`s wife, Marian has been waiting for him for ten years. Walter said that he wanted Robin to stay in this place. If there is no successor, the territory was taken by nation and Marian lose the place where she live. Robin accept the propose and Marian is attracted by Robin.Since then Robin introduced himself as Rovert Rocsry. In England nation complained about the reign of King John so the feudal lords intended to rise in revolt.However this attempt coursed the plan of invasion by Godory Flee on England.Sir Rocsry started to talk  about Robin`s personal history.According to his story Robin lived in Nottingum when he was little and his father was the thinker who were supported by many people
But the father was executed for the think was seen as dangerous. Because Robin recalled the past and father`s think he joined a war between French and England with his people uniting. As a result the French beated and Robin became a hero.

A Christmas Carol

 This week I read A Christmas Carol.This book is read by many people all over the world.
 A old man,Scrooge was hard,cold man.He only loved money.So he was hated by everyone.In Christmas eve he met ghost of Marley who dead seven years ago.Marley said that a man who lived with selfishness and greed would was cursed to wander the earth dragging a network of heavy chains.
 After that three spirit visited him.
 The first of the spirits,Ghost of Christmas Past,took him to the scenes of Christmas when he was young.He looked his boyhood which was filled with dream.
 Second spirits,Ghost of Christmas Present,took him to a lot of different scenes.These were filled with joy to celebrate Christmas.Also he looked Cratchit`s youngest son,Tim who was serious ill and he recalled his own words:"Are there no prisons?Are there no workhouses?"
 The third spirit,the Ghost of Christmas Yet to come,showed him Christmas day of one year later and the neglected grave.The name carved in the tombstone was Scrooge.He pledged that he would change his ways.He sent delicious food to the Cratchi for Christmas dinner and offered the contribution to the gentleman.Also following day he raised a salary and became like "a second father"to Tim.
 Scrooge now treats everyone with kindness.Scrooge is said that he knows how to enjoy Christmas any other else.

The Double Life of a Very Black Cat

This week I read The Double Life of a Very Black Cat.

One day there was a black cat in front of the door of Taylor`s house.Sarah Taylor gave the cat a peace of pizza and named it Martin.However, another day there was the same cat in front of the door of Jones`house.Peter Jones gave the cat tuna fish and named it Tina.The cat was a tom-cat.Martin(Tina) went to the each home in turns.
One day Martin(Tina) didn`t come to both house.
Peter and his younger sister made the poster.Either did Sarah and her younger brother.Actually they were on bad terms with each other.So when Peter and his sister met Sarah and her brother so that stick the poster on the tree they didn`t greet each other.
However hardly Peter looked Sarah`s poster when he spoke to her.
And they looked for the cat together.The more they looked for it together,the more good they were on terms with each other.
As a result they could find it.The place where the cat lived was the old shed in the Taylors` back garden.To my surprised,she gave birth to four kittens.Two kittens were had by the Taylors,other were had by the Jones.However Tina(Martin) was still visited both houses.

Toshishun

This week I read Toshishun.Toshishun was a young,poor man living in Tang.
The mean of Tang was what China is.One day he stood near the West Gate.
Then suddenly an old man appeared in front of him.Actually the man was a wizard.He said "what are you thinking?"to him.Toshishun answered that because I don`t have any place to sleep tonight I was wondering what I should do.Listtening the word he said special thing.that was to dig the ground where a shadow of your head falls on.He dug a hole in the dark of night and found much money.
he became the richest man in the city.However,he spent too money doing everything to have a little.He repeated this thing three times but he found out that a rich not necessary spend happy life.And he asked the wizard to make him his follower.The wizard said if you said nothing during I take my mother to show you I would make you my follower.Then he left.
Toshishun was waiting for him with his mouth closed.Suddenly A lot of strange things happened to him.Those were the temptation by evil spirits.
He said nothing,so at last the evil spirits took a final step.That was to bring his parents and hurt them     in front of him!Of course this was a phantom but he did not put up with the action.He said "Mother!".
As a result he did not become the follower but understood the most important thing.
He want to only live a good and simple life.The wizard walked quickly away but then turned to him and said "I have a little house in the south,on Mt Taizan.It in yours,along with the fields around it.The peach trees there are pretty at this time of year".

Although I  read this book first time,I was very impressed with Toshishun`s growth.
I want him to become happy because he found out the most important thing.

Homes Around the World

This week I read Homes Around the World.
In this book a lot of home is explained from old home to current.

About 50000 years ago people lived in caves and then about 5000 years ago people started to build homes.These were different from what it is.Modern homes are made of man-made materials like concrete,bricks,plastic,and glass.
However,a lot of homes made of natural materials exist around the world.
For example,in hot deserts the temperature is very hot in the day and cold at night.People build houses with mud and grass because where there aren`t many trees or rocks.

I read this book and know many sort of homes all over the world.Rich people can live in wonderful house but it is difficult for poor people to live in anywhere.This is a serious issue because it obviously suggest difference of social.

To solve this problem people should help each other internationally I think.

The USA

This week I read The USA.
This book describe the beginning,the Civil War,and culture of USA.Acording to this book America was a colony for the first time.
There were therteen colonies along the east coast
of North America,and they were all governed by Britain by 1770.But in 1775 Americans fought a group of British soldiers in Massachusetts.


Thought the colonies didn`t say that they wanted to be fully independent until the summer of 1776 Americans became to wanted to being releasd.
After Americans won the war in 1781 they were free to govern themselves.In 1789 they made George Washington hteir first president.On this ocation America regained a lot of states and becane a big country.After that,the Civil War broke down and Many Americans died.As a result North defeated South in 1865.

The nose

This week I read The nose.This story was written by
 Akutagawa Ryunosuke.

The main hero`s name is Zench,and he is spriest.He have a very long nose enough to reach his chin.Since he always think about his nose one day he started something to make his nose shorter.
The way to put his nose was into the hot water and it was taken out and stepped on again by the young monk.

Owing to this act,his nose became shorter than before.
He was happy to figured out his nose became shorter.
Zench thought no one would ever laugh at this nose.
Regardless of his nose was not doing anything special,he felt that he was more laughed at by everybody than before.
He was injured and he hoped that his nose return to former his nose.

One day in the morning,he felt old familiar touch in his nose.
He though Now,no one will ever laugh at me again.


We all feel sorry for a person who has had luck,then we began to feel that we have lost something,
something that was important.In a way we would like to see the person have bad luck again.

Whale Danger!

This week I read Whale Danger!
This story is set in the Arctic ocean.

There are Beluga whales.
Beluga whales are very social animals.
Their relationships with the whales around them are very strong so A mother and her calf will often swim together for three years.


On one day,when the tide goes out one young beluga has gone too far onto the shore.The young beluga moves around on the shore to return the sea but only the rock cut its skin.Adult belugas can only watch and wait as the calf tries to move.That time,the water begins to move. With one last energetic push,the young beluga is free!At last, it`s able to return to the sea and join the other whales in the deep water once again.



Whales is the biggest mammal in the world.

It may seem like the beluga whales have a very happy life,but they are often put in danger suddenly.We need to think a solution to help such a whale immediately.

Self-introduction

Hi,my name is Ayaka Ichimura.I go to Gakushuin University.I`m in the first grade.
I major in English and American literature.

I live in Saitama with my family.
My family is father,mother,grand father,grand mother and two sisters.
My father is a police officer.He is strict sometimes but I look up to him.
Also my grand mother and father run bur bur while they are over seventy.
I think they are tough very much.

I belong to pottery club.
I have thought I want to make a tableware since I made a cup by my self first time.
I want to make a lot of tableware in the club.

My favorite pop idol is Arashi and favorite member is Ninomiya kazunari.
He plays a teacher in new TV drama on every Saturday.
I`m looking forward to watching the drama.

My dream is to be a English teacher,so I want to study English hard in this college.
